The Noke Koi Tribe
The Noke Koi, an Indigenous tribe of the Amazon Rainforest, live in the Acre region near the Peru and Bolivia borders. Their fight to preserve their culture grows harder as deforestation and persecution by loggers and miners threaten their way of life.
OTBA first connected with their leader, Poa Mastra, to feature The Fire Song in our film, securing copyright rights. Since then, we’ve built a strong relationship with his son, Washme, a youth leader. They are eager to continue collaborating, and we hope to support them further through the International Music Project—where The Fire Song will be the first piece.
